The meaning of "guffaw"

Apart from a couple friends, few things have made me laugh helplessly or realize the meaning of "guffaw". This title did it:

The joy of doing the same thing over and over again

And more:

"no artist worth their salt is ever considered to have truly arrived until their idiosyncrasies have hardened into a recognisable and replicable style"

Interesting. Don't know what it really means but, interesting...

Nice seeing (more) arts stuff in wrtAUTISM

The Stormtrooper as working class stiff

"the idea that a person’s core consciousness and perception of the world is shaped by rigid, external social structures"

And if it isn't, there could be trouble.

More on this when I get my head around it - or not.

Something about the jump from traditional art to digital...

Autistic Annie turns 10

Apparently Annie started as an angel for a friend in the States (requested for a holiday card). Which I guess made me think of that "angels for autism" campaign (or was that much later). And so on.

Below, the original 2005 (left) pasted onto another concept 2009.

Another version here:

Guess I should add: Word has a "draw" (vectors) feature that not many people know about. Or did in previous versions.

Distractions and Pinta

Being an 'autistic artist' is like someone tapping me on the shoulder when I'm trying to draw something (where's the next attack coming from). Hence the new blog title (no real distance but helpful).

Digital is the same kind of distraction: will the computer crash?; do I need to update?; etc. It's not paper and pencil (most direct/stable) but fifteen years later I'm more comfortable/confident with digital than I was...

Just discovered an MSPaint equivalent that looks promising, Pinta (see side bar)...
